Welcome to the Pinellas Partners April/May Newsletter! Some very successful fundraising and
awareness events have taken place since our last newsletter with more to come.
We’ve scheduled our next Pinellas Partners informative luncheon for April 9 at the beautiful Island
Way Grill near Clearwater Beach (see Upcoming Events for more information). Two of Moffitt Cancer
Center’s top researchers will be speaking about the most innovative research going on right here in
Tampa Bay. It really is the best way to stay informed and connected to one of the top cancer research
institutes in the country. Join us and your Pinellas County neighbors for this meaningful program. We
look forward to seeing you there.
So many of our family, friends and neighbors continue to fight this terrible disease and are winning
with each day. With others, their battles may be lost, but not in vain. Their strength will never be
forgotten. They’ve endured appointments, tests, prescriptions, and pain, but they always had hope. We
thank them for sharing that hope with us.
With every trial, every new treatment, and every great nurse and doctor, there is new hope. Thank
you to Moffitt and everyone who has given to the cause of the prevention and cure of cancer.
You are the reason for that hope. We remember those we have lost and will continue this fight.

GALA IN TAMPA
Please join Pinellas Partners as we celebrate our support of Moffitt
Cancer Center by attending the 2008 Magnolia Ball, featuring
entertainment by Chicago. The Pinellas Partners group will have two
reserved tables for our members at this black-tie gala.
Moffitt's Magnolia Ball, now in its 15th year, features wonderful food,
entertainment and exciting live and silent auctions. Last year, more
than 800 of Tampa Bay's business and civic leaders attended this
premier event that sells out every year.
Funds received from members of the Pinellas Partners group will
directly benefit the Pinellas Partners fund for cancer research at Moffitt
Cancer Center.
